53 arrested in joint operation in Mohammadpur

A huge quantity of drugs, domestic weapons and stolen mobile phones have been recovered in a special operation by joint forces in Mohammadpur in the capital. A total of 53 people, including Chan of the Chan Manik Group, have been arrested during this time. Ruhul Kabir Ibne Mizan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) of Tejgaon Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), confirmed this information on Tuesday (December 23) afternoon.
40 kg of marijuana, 200 pieces of yaba, 9 chapatis and samurais, 10 knives and 12 stolen mobile phones were recovered in the operation. Several leaders of banned organizations, including those accused in murder, robbery and drug cases, have also been arrested during this time. A total of 53 people have been arrested in the operation. Police said that legal action is being taken against those arrested. It was also informed that such joint operations will continue in crime-prone areas of the capital.
