Hadi murder trial to be completed within 90 days: Legal Advisor

Inquilab Manch spokesperson and Dhaka-8 constituency candidate Shahid Osman Hadi’s murder case will be completed within 90 days, said Legal Advisor Professor Dr. Asif Nazrul. He gave this information in a post on his verified Facebook page today (December 22). In the post, Asif Nazrul wrote, “The trial of Shahid Sharif Osman Hadi’s murder will be conducted in a speedy trial tribunal. According to Section 10 of the Speedy Trial Tribunal Act of 2002, the trial will be completed within a maximum of 90 days after the police report arrives.”
Earlier, Inquilab Manch had demanded the formation of a speedy trial tribunal to complete the trial process of Sharif Osman Hadi’s murder. This demand was made by the organization’s member secretary Abdullah Al Jaber at a press conference in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh in the capital at around 12:30 pm today (December 22) on Monday. Jaber said, “A speedy judicial tribunal must be formed for this murder. If necessary, the assistance of international professional investigation agencies must be sought. We want a public trial – not a so-called ‘gunfight’.”
