Sheikh Hasina ordered Hadi’s assassination while in India: Tuku
BNP Central Committee Publicity Secretary Sultan Salahuddin Tuku has alleged that Sheikh Hasina ordered Hadi’s assassination while in India with the aim of destabilizing the country, creating anarchy and thwarting the elections.
He said this while responding to questions from journalists at a prayer meeting organized at Binyafair High School ground in Tangail Sadar Upazila on Saturday (December 20) afternoon to pray for the recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia and to mark the 12th martyrdom anniversary of Sadar Upazila BNP Senior Vice President and former Chairman of Dainya Union Shaheed Rafiqul Islam Faruk. Tuku said that those who want to create instability in the country and obstruct the democratic process are involved in this assassination.
He also said that BNP is hopeful that the elections will be held at the right time. He further commented that when BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman returns home on December 25, there will be a wave of joy throughout the country. BNP will form the government by ensuring the victory of the paddy in the next election. District BNP President Hasanazzammil Shaheen, former member secretary of Tangail district BNP Mahmudul Haque Sanu, Sadar Upazila BNP President Azgar Ali, among others, spoke at the prayer mahfil presided over by Shaheed Rafiqul Islam Faruk Smriti Sangha President Rafiqul Islam Azad.
