Afridi announces resignation if corruption is proven
The Chief Minister of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province, Sohail Afridi, has announced that he will resign if anyone can prove corruption against him. Samaa TV reported this information. Addressing a public meeting in Kohat, the Chief Minister said, “No appointment is made in the province on the basis of recommendations.”
He also said that those involved in corruption will be removed from their jobs. He added, “A reform process is underway within the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police.” Sohail Afridi also said, “In future, all new appointments will be made through examinations conducted by the Educational Testing and Assessment Agency (ETIA).”
