Content creator Piper found buried after murder
Police have arrested the ex-boyfriend of Austrian content creator and beauty influencer Stefanie Piper, 31, on suspicion of murder. Austrian media reports say Piper’s body was stuffed into a suitcase and buried in a forest in Slovenia after the murder. According to the Styrian State Police, Piper went missing on the night of November 23 after returning home from a party. That night, she told a friend that she had ‘arrived safely’. Shortly after, she wrote in another message, ‘There is someone hiding in the stairs.’
Local media reported that Piper’s neighbours heard an argument on the night of the murder and thought they saw Piper’s ex-boyfriend in the building. The next day, relatives and colleagues were unable to contact her, so a missing person’s diary was filed. Police said Piper’s ex-boyfriend was arrested in Slovenia. He was found in a casino parking lot next to her burning car. Investigations revealed that he had traveled to Slovenia several times in the car. According to a report in Austria’s Kronen Zeitung, he confessed to the murder during questioning after being taken back to Austria. He said he strangled Piper and buried her body in a suitcase in the woods. He later showed police the location of the body. The Styrian State Police also said that two male relatives of the accused were also arrested for aiding and abetting the murder. Piper was a beauty enthusiast. She was known for her content on makeup, fashion and music.
