Gas supply normalized in Narayanganj after nearly 60 hours
A 12-inch diameter pipeline of Titas Gas burst during the boring of a flyover in the Shasgaon area of Panchabati-Muktarpur road in Fatulla, Narayanganj, and gas supply was stopped for nearly 60 hours from 6 pm last Saturday (November 22) to 6 am this Tuesday (November 25). This caused extreme suffering to the owners of industrial establishments and housewives.
After long efforts, gas supply normalized from 6 am today (November 25). Local residents of Narayanganj have also been seen posting about this on social media since morning.
In this regard, Titas Gas authorities have said that the place where the gas line cracked is a very dangerous area. Because there is a two-story building and an electricity pole next to it. Due to which they had to work with utmost caution.
Rajib Saha, Deputy Managing Director of Titas Gas Narayanganj region, said, “Since the distribution line is about 24 feet below the ground, the work had to be done quickly. We had to work very carefully due to the muddy soil. That’s why it took so long.”
