EC to hold dialogue with 12 parties including BNP-Jamaat-NCP today
The Election Commission (EC) is holding dialogue with political parties focusing on the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections. In continuation of this, the EC will hold a dialogue with leaders and activists of 12 parties including BNP, Jamaat and NCP at the conference room of the Election Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
Today, Wednesday (November 19) from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, the EC will hold a dialogue with Jamaat-e-Islami, Bangladesh Minority Janata Party (BMJP), Insaniat Biplob, Jatiya Nagorik Party (NCP), Gana Sanghati Andolan and Jatiyatabadi Ganotantrik Andolan (NDM).
Later, from 2 pm to 4 pm, it will exchange views with BNP, Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP), Gana Odhikar Parishad (GOP), Nagorik Oikya, Bangladesh Republican Party-(BRP) and Bangladesh Samajtantrik Dal (Marxist).
Yesterday (November 17), EC’s Public Relations Branch Assistant Director Md. Ashadul Haque confirmed this information. Earlier, the EC held election dialogues with a total of 36 registered political parties, 12 each, in two sessions on Thursday, Sunday and Monday. With the two new parties, there are currently 55 registered parties. In addition, the registration of Awami League has been suspended and the registration of three more has been cancelled.
