Fire breaks out at poly factory in Fatulla

A fire broke out at a poly pellet manufacturing factory in Dhalipara Dharmaganj area of ​​Fatulla, Narayanganj. The fire broke out at around 4:30 am today, Wednesday (November 19). The fire service said that the company suffered a loss of Tk 15 lakh.
Abdullah Al Arifin, Deputy Assistant Director of Narayanganj Fire Service, said that the fire service quickly went to the spot after receiving the news of the fire at 4:30 am. Upon reaching there, they started the work of controlling the fire. Later, a total of 3 units worked at the spot. After about 2 hours of efforts, the fire was completely extinguished at 6:30 am.
He said that initially it is believed that the fire started from a short circuit. The fire damaged the factory’s poly pellets, two machines and waste poly. It is reported that an estimated loss of Tk 15 lakh has been incurred. However, due to the quick rescue operation, it was possible to save assets worth about Tk 30 lakh. No casualties were reported in the incident.
