World Bank delegation meets Jamaat Ameer

A World Bank delegation met Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman. The meeting was held at the Jamaat Ameer’s office on Tuesday (November 18) morning.
Led by Mr. Jean-Denis Pesme, Director of the World Bank’s Regional Office in Dhaka, he was accompanied by Ms. Mehreen A. Mahbub, Financial Advisor of the World Bank’s Dhaka Division, and Ms. Gail Martin, Operations Manager.
The Jamaat Ameer was accompanied by eminent economist Dr. Mizanur Rahman and former Senior Secretary Muhammad Shafiullah and Jamaat Ameer’s Foreign Affairs Advisor Professor Dr. Mahmudul Hasan. The meeting reviewed Bangladesh’s structural reforms and development of various financial sectors, sustainable economy, tax system and various aspects of the social sector.
