A minibus parked on the side of the road in Narayanganj caught fire
A minibus parked in front of the Roads and Municipalities (SOW) office in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway caught fire. The fire broke out around 6 am today, Saturday (November 15).
In this regard, Siddhirganj Police Station OC Shahinur Alam said that the driver left the minibus there after the bus suddenly caught fire on Friday (November 14) night. The next day, this morning, after the bus suddenly caught fire, local people and fire service members quickly reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Although the bus’s seats and glass were burnt in the fire, no one was injured. Locals said that major damage was avoided as there were no passengers or drivers at the scene at the time. Although the cause of the fire could not be immediately confirmed, the police said that it could be due to a mechanical fault or some other reason. OC Shahinur Alam said that the matter will be investigated and further action will be taken.
