Foundation stone laid at Hazrat Shah Makhdum Ruposh (Rah.) Dargah
The foundation stone of “Charity Hospital, Musafirkhana and Langarkhana” has been laid at Hazrat Shah Makhdum Ruposh (Rah.) Dargah.
The function was presided over by the Chairman of the Dargah Estate Management Committee (ex-officio) and Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi, Afia Akhtar. The function was attended by the Chief Guest, DIG of Rajshahi Range, Mohammad Shahjahan, and the Special Guest, Trustee Member of Dargah Estate and Founder of The Makhdum Foundation, Dr. Suraet Rahman Raktim Ashrafi. Mohd. Sabur Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Rajshahi, was present on behalf of the Deputy Commissioner of Rajshahi, Afia Akhtar.

Chief guest Mohammad Shahjahan said, “For the past 15 years, The Makhdum Foundation has been conducting various charitable and social activities centered on the Dargah. The foundation has played a commendable role in numerous humanitarian activities including free medical services, cataract operations for the helpless, scholarships for poor students, and food distribution at Langarkhana during Covid.” He further said that this new project will be implemented in collaboration with the district administration and Dargah Trustee Board to further accelerate religious and social activities centered on the Dargah.

It is worth noting that The Makhdum Foundation was founded by Dr. Suraet Rahman Raktim Ashrafi, who is also the honorary trustee member of Hazrat Shah Makhdum Ruposh (Rah.) Dargah Estate.
