Venezuela ready to repel US invasion

Venezuela has made the necessary preparations to repel a possible US invasion. Venezuelan Defense Minister Vladimir Padrino said this in a statement on Tuesday (November 11). Al Jazeera reported.
Tensions between the two countries have increased after the recent deployment of US warships off the coast of Venezuela and US attacks on ships in the region. Meanwhile, the Venezuelan government said on Tuesday that it has put its armed forces ready to repel any US aggression.
The preparations mentioned in the Venezuelan government statement include the deployment of large troops and missile-handling forces on land, air and sea. In addition, a force consisting of police, militia and civilians will also be deployed. Tensions are rising over the entry of the US aircraft carrier Gerald Ford into the Latin American region. There are rumors that the United States may take military action in Venezuela to overthrow the government of their longtime enemy, Nicolas Maduro.
