Parked bus set on fire in Ashulia: Who did this?

Miscreants set fire to an Alif Paribahan bus parked on the side of the road in Ashulia, Savar. However, no casualties were reported in the incident. The fire broke out in front of the Women and Children’s Hospital in the Sarkar Market area of ​​Ashulia at around 5 am today (November 12) on Wednesday. Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Hannan confirmed the matter.
He said that after receiving information, a team of the Dhaka Export Processing Zone (DEPZ) Fire Service reached the spot and brought the fire under control. But by then the bus was burnt. Locals said that the bus plying on the Bypail-Abdullahpur route was parked on the side of the road. Suddenly, unknown miscreants set fire to it and fled. DEPZ Fire Station Officer Pranab Chowdhury said that after receiving information about the arson on the bus, a unit quickly reached the spot and extinguished the fire.
In this regard, bus driver Abdus Sattar said that he had been sleeping in the bus for several days due to security reasons in the incident of arson in the bus. Suddenly feeling hot, he quickly got up and saw two youths fleeing on a motorcycle. The owner of the bus, Md. Sohel, claimed that he was helpless in the incident.
The officer-in-charge of Ashulia Police Station said that a group whose activities have been banned for some time is trying to deteriorate the law and order situation in the country by spreading propaganda through social media. As part of that effort, their leaders and activists have recently gathered in the capital from different parts of the country and are organizing quick processions and creating panic in the public by setting fire to various vehicles including cocktail explosions. However, the police officer said that multiple teams are working to quickly find those involved.
