We will judge the oppression and torture of the people of this country: Mir Snigdh
Mir Mahbubur Rahman Snigdh, twin brother of July martyr Mir Mughd, said, the people of the country have been oppressed and tortured by the murderer Hasina. We have gone into hiding, yet we have not compromised with the murderer Hasina. We will judge the oppression and torture of the people of this country. He said these things at a view-sharing meeting at the district BNP office in Alaipur, Natore city on Monday (November 10) afternoon.
Snigdh said, ‘For the past 17 years, the fascist murderer Hasina single-handedly established the governance of this country. Where all the people of the country have been oppressed. Injustice, torture and oppression have been carried out on BNP leaders and activists across the country. This suffering and hardship is not only yours, but also of BNP leaders and activists across the country.’
About Khaleda Zia, he said, ‘My father is a BNP worker. She inspired us with the ideals of the uncompromising leader Begum Khaleda Zia from our childhood. She raised us by teaching us that we can lead ourselves without compromising like Begum Khaleda Zia. From that education, we did not compromise with the murderer Hasina.’
About the youth, Snigdha said, ‘Under the leadership of Tarique Rahman, the youth of this country will be brought to leadership. The future of this country will be planned through the youth. In various countries, young people are currently coming to leadership and they are working for the development of the country. Currently, Tarique Rahman is gradually bringing young leadership to the forefront in our country too. There is a huge action plan on how to change the politics of the country under the leadership of the youth and make the future of the country more beautiful.’
Snigdha further said, ‘Since Mugh was martyred, we wanted to inform the countrymen that threats have been being made against me since then. But we did not succumb to those threats. We did not compromise with the person who ordered the killing of my brother. The way BNP leaders and activists went into hiding, we also went into hiding. We, the people of this country, will judge this oppression and torture together. 2,000 of our brothers and sisters have been martyred, many have become disabled. We will judge them.’ At that time, Natore District BNP Convener Rahim Newaz, Joint Convener Saiful Islam Aftab, District BNP Member Nasim Uddin Nasim, District BNP Leader Farhad Ali Dewan Shahin, District Jubo Dal President A.
