Helicopter crashes during landing, no survivors
A military helicopter has crashed in southern Dagestan, killing at least four people. Two more were injured in the incident on Friday (November 7). It is reported that the people on board the helicopter worked at a Russian military factory.
The helicopter crash was caught on camera. The video shows the KA-226 helicopter trying to land on a beach near the Caspian Sea. At that time, its tail hit the ground, causing the tail rotor to break. At that time, the pilot tried to lift the helicopter up again. But he lost control.
Russian media reported that the helicopter lost control and crashed into a residential building adjacent to the village of Achi-Su. All four people on board were killed. Two people in the building were injured.
Local media reported that Achalo Magomedov, deputy general director for construction and transport support at the Kizlyar Electromechanical Plant, was among the dead. The other three also worked at a military factory, which mainly produced aircraft parts used by the Russian military.
