A group is creating division using religion. They are trying to sabotage the elections. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir made this comment. Mirza Fakhrul said this while attending a meeting with freedom fighters and their children in Thakurgaon on Monday (August 10) morning.
He said that a group is trying to sabotage the spirit of the Liberation War. They are trying to make the people forget the sacrifices of 1971. The country gained independence in 1971 through the sacrifices of millions of people. Just as the people of the country cannot forget December 24, they cannot forget December 71 either.
The BNP leader said that a well-planned group is forming an alliance with the Pakistani occupation forces. He commented that the people of this country cannot compromise with those who killed the freedom fighters and their families.
