Foreign management is needed to make Chittagong Port international standard: Shipping Advisor

Shipping Advisor Brigadier General (Retd.) Dr. M Sakhawat Hossain has commented that foreign management is needed to make Chittagong Port international standard. He said these things after inaugurating the Laldia Char Container Yard in Patenga area this Monday (November 10) morning.
Shatini said that the Chittagong Port Authority is basically building a container terminal on 32 acres of land. Out of which the yard has been built on 14 acres of land. As a result, the capacity of 10,000 single containers will increase. He further said that discussions were held with all stakeholders before increasing the port’s tariff.
Later, at 11 am, the Shipping Advisor inaugurated the transport terminal in the Bay Terminal area near the Bay of Bengal.
