Fire in Bangshal, Old Dhaka
A four-storey building caught fire in Bangshal area of Old Dhaka in the capital. Upon receiving the information, two units of the fire service quickly reached the spot and started working to control the fire. The fire service received the news of the fire at 2:10 am today, Sunday (November 9). They reached the spot within just five minutes and started working to douse the fire. Duty officer of the fire service control room Md. Shajahan confirmed the matter to the media.
He said that at 2:10 am, he received the news of a fire at ‘Al Nasir Sweet Shop’ located on the ground floor of a four-storey building next to the BNP office in Bangshal. After that, two units of the fire service immediately went to the spot and started working to control the fire. Initially, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not known. However, he added that no casualties were reported in the fire.
