11 dead in Bosnia nursing home fire

A fire at a nursing home in northeastern Bosnia has killed 11 people and injured at least 30. Police said on Wednesday (November 5) that the cause of the fire was being investigated, AFP reported from Sarajevo.
Earlier, a fire broke out at a nursing home in the town of Tuzla, about 80 kilometers northeast of Sarajevo, on Tuesday night (November 4) and took an hour to bring it under control. Thirty people are still hospitalized. Five firefighters and three police officers are among the injured.
Local media reports said that many residents were bedridden at the time of the fire, many of them sick. Video footage from the scene showed flames coming out of the upper windows of the nursing home building.
