Trump furious over Mamdani’s victory, calls him “stupid”

Voters have ignored US President Donald Trump’s call not to vote for Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani for mayor of New York City. Mamdani made history by defeating former New York State Governor and independent Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa in the election held on Tuesday (November 4). He is the city’s youngest mayor since 1892, as well as the first Muslim mayor and the first person born in Africa to hold the position.
Trump has been opposed to Zohran Mamdani from the beginning. Now the US president has reacted angrily to his victory. In a post on Truth Social today (November 5), Trump called Jews “stupid” for supporting Zohran Mamdani.
The US President wrote that the Jewish Democratic candidates who voted for Mamdani in the New York mayoral election are essentially idiots and anti-Semitic. Their actions will go against American Jews. This is the first major US election since Donald Trump was elected president for a second term. The victory of a Muslim in an area like New York City under a far-right leader like him has added a new dimension to American politics.
