The secretary said, “We have prepared the final list of polling stations today. The number of polling stations in 300 parliamentary constituencies in 64 districts is 42,761. In terms of rooms, 115,137 rooms have been allocated for men and 129,602 rooms for women. That is, the total number of rooms is 244,649.”
Akhtar Ahmed also said that initially the number of temporary polling stations is 14, where there will be about 12,000 polling stations. An average of 3,000 voters will be in a polling station. This has been taken as the ‘catchment area’. This number will be adjusted later if necessary.
According to the EC draft, the number of draft polling stations was 42,618, which was 42,148 in the 12th parliamentary elections.
