Final list of polling stations to be published today

Ahead of the 13th National Parliament elections, the Election Commission (EC) will publish the final list of polling stations on Monday (October 27). At the same time, the registration of new political parties will be completed this week. Senior Secretary of the Election Commission (EC) Akhtar Ahmed told reporters after a meeting with Commonwealth representatives at the Election House in Agargaon in the capital on Sunday (October 26).
According to the roadmap announced by the EC, the final list of polling stations was supposed to be published by October 20. When asked why it was not published even after six days, Akhtar Ahmed said, “The list of polling stations has been finalized. Some corrections were proposed and they have been made. I will inform you this Monday morning.”
Regarding when the registration of new political parties will be completed, the EC Secretary said, “Some additional information has come from the field about the progress of party registration. It is being reviewed. We will do it this week. Because, we also have a responsibility. There is an urgent need from our side.” The EC Secretary said, “It is not that the work has to be completed 100% as per the plan. In the context of the situation, adjustments have to be made in some places. Some work has been done earlier, some work has to wait and some work has to wait for some more time. It is not possible to do any work by measuring time and date by time.”
