‘If we play politics of conflict, we will have to go back to Hasina’s era’
BNP Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury said that democracy will not be established if the elections are disrupted. He further commented that if we play politics of conflict in the name of movement on the streets, we will have to go back to Sheikh Hasina’s era.
He said this at a discussion organized on the occasion of the 4th founding anniversary of the People’s Rights Council at the Diploma Engineering Institute in the capital on Sunday (October 26) morning.
Amir Khasru said that there is no division among political parties, all parties have their own rules, everyone will give their opinions like everyone else, this is democracy. The BNP leader also advised the people to go to the people with their own agenda. He said that even though we have different opinions, we can respect the differences of opinions. He further warned that we cannot go back to conflictual and violent politics.
