What Trump said about India-Pakistan relations
US President Donald Trump spoke about India-Pakistan relations at the Gaza summit in Egypt. He said that he thinks India and Pakistan will work very well together now. This information was revealed by a report by German media Deutsche Welle.
Without naming Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump said, ‘India is a great country and my friend is at the top of it. He has done a great job.’
When Trump was speaking, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif was standing behind him. He nodded and supported Trump’s statement.
Earlier, Trump had also praised Sharif and Pakistan Army Chief Asim Munir. He invited Sharif to give a speech.
Sharif said, ‘Trump and his team have made a tremendous contribution to ending the conflict and ceasefire between India and Pakistan. Pakistan will once again nominate Trump’s name for the Nobel Peace Prize for saving millions of lives in South Asia and the Middle East.’
