LPG price reduced further

The price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) at the consumer level has been reduced again. The price of a 12-kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk 29 to Tk 1,241 for the current October month.
The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new price reduction on Tuesday (October 7). The new price will be effective from 6 pm today.
BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed said that the price of 12 kg LPG has been reduced by Tk 29 to Tk 1,241 for the month of October. The last adjustment of LP gas prices was made on September 2. At that time, the price of a 12 kg cylinder for the month of September was reduced by Tk 3 to Tk 1,270.
BERC also reduced the price of autogas today. The price of autogas has been reduced by Tk 1.38 to Tk 56.77 including VAT for October.
The last adjustment of autogas prices was made on September 2. At that time, the consumer price of autogas, including VAT, for the month of September was reduced by 13 paise to Tk 58.15.
The BERC said that the consumer price of private LPG and autogas for the month of October has been adjusted based on a 35:65 propane and butane ratio, considering Saudi Aramco’s Saudi CP of propane and butane of US$ 495 and US$ 475 per metric ton respectively and the average Saudi CP of propane and butane of US$ 482 per metric ton.
