Cloth cutting factory burnt to ashes in Tongi

A fire broke out in a cloth cutting factory in Tongi, Gazipur. The incident took place at around 10 am today (October 6) at the Monoranjan factory in the lane of Tongi TSS Machimpur area. On receiving the information, 3 units of Tongi Fire Service reached the spot and tried for about 1 hour to bring the fire under control.
Locals said that at around 10 am, they saw a sudden fire at the factory named Monoranjan’s M/s Sathyaranjan & Rony Cutting Center and informed the fire service. On receiving the information, three units of Tongi Fire Service reached the spot and tried for about 1 hour to bring the fire under control. By then, the roll cloth, cutting cloth, furniture and equipment kept in the factory had burnt down.
In this regard, senior officer of Tongi Fire Service Md. Shahin Alam said, our three units reached the spot and tried for about 1 hour to bring the fire under control. Initially, it is believed that the fire started from a laser cutting machine. The extent of the damage can be determined only after the investigation.
