3 more people die of dengue, 556 hospitalized
In the last 24 hours, 3 more people have died of dengue in the country. In addition, 556 people have been hospitalized due to the Aedes mosquito-borne disease during this period.
This information was given in a report sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services on Tuesday (September 30).
It has been informed that among the patients admitted to the hospital due to dengue in the last 24 hours, 137 are in Barisal division (outside the City Corporation), 70 in Chittagong division (outside the City Corporation), 79 in Dhaka division (outside the City Corporation), 101 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 113 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 28 in Mymensingh division (outside the City Corporation), 25 in Rajshahi division (outside the City Corporation) and three in Sylhet division (outside the City Corporation).
In the last 24 hours, 612 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals. A total of 44,796 patients have been discharged from hospitals so far this year.
A total of 47,342 people have been infected with dengue so far this year. Of these, 60.6 percent are men and 39.4 percent are women. 198 people have died of dengue so far this year.
