Dhai fish sold for 60 thousand taka in Daulatdia

A Dhai fish weighing 14.5 kg was caught in the Padma River in Daulatdia of Rajbari Goalanda. The fish was sold for about 60 thousand taka.
A fish trader bought the fish at an auction from a shop in Daulatdia early this Tuesday (September 30) at a price of 4 thousand 100 taka per kg.
Earlier, the fish was caught in the net of fisherman Sonai Haldar from the upstream of the Padma River at Daulatdia-Paturia ferry ghat early this morning. He then brought the fish and sold it at a shop in Daulatdia. At that time, locals gathered to see the fish.
The fish trader said that Dhai fish is very delicious to eat. Due to which there is a demand for this fish among buyers. Now, various methods are being used to contact buyers to sell the fish.
