Government has broken the fertilizer syndicate, prices will remain stable: Agriculture Advisor

Agriculture Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that there is no shortage of fertilizer anywhere in the country. All syndicates have been broken. Fertilizer prices will not increase during my tenure.
The Agriculture Advisor said this at a briefing at the Secretariat today, Thursday (September 25).
The Agriculture Advisor said that a national committee is being formed to formulate fertilizer policies. In addition, major changes are being made in the dealership sector. There will be no problem with fertilizer due to gas shortage. Fertilizer arrears of Tk 20,691 crore have been paid.
He also said that although potato production is high this year, farmers are not getting the real price. We want the price of potatoes to increase a little more for the benefit of farmers.
Mangoes have been exported to China for the first time during this period. He said that kathal will also be exported from next year.
