Shibir’s victory does not mean Jamaat’s victory

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) Secretary General Dr. Redwan Ahmed has commented that there is no reason why Jamaat-e-Islami will also win the national elections just because Dhaka University Central Students Union has won. He said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the triennial conference of Shuhilpur Union in Chandina Upazila of Comilla on Sunday afternoon (September 14). Dr. Redwan Ahmed said that Chhatra Shibir did not win the DUCSU elections with its own votes. Here, they won with the votes of students from different parties, opinions and organizations. Students have always taken a stand against the ruling party. Shibir’s victory is a reflection of that. But in the national elections, the people will vote for the party’s candidate and symbol. Regarding the 13th National Parliament elections to be held in February next year, he said that BNP will win the elections with the partner parties of the simultaneous movement and form the government. Many countries in the world want to push BNP away; but BNP will not be able to remove it so quickly. India has destroyed the democracy of Bangladesh and kept Sheikh Hasina in power for a long time. The people of Bangladesh did not keep her in power by voting. Shuhilpur Union LDP President Md. Touhidul Islam Bhuiyan presided over the special guests – Upazila LDP President AKM Shamsul Haque Master, Central LDP Advisor Principal Abul Kashem, Upazila LDP General Secretary Principal Abu Taher, Organizing Secretary Shahjahan Siraj Chairman. In addition, Upazila LDP member and Shuhilpur UP Chairman Abu Bakar, LDP Union General Secretary Tarek Pasha, Union Ganotantrik Jubo Dal General Secretary Md. Hannan, LDP Union Member Kausar Ahmed and others were present.
