Shibir’s 2-day program to celebrate victory in DUCSU elections
Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir has announced a two-day program after the results of the Dhaka University Central Student Union (DUCSU) elections-2025.
In a press release today, Wednesday (September 10), Chhatra Shibir’s central president Zahidul Islam announced this program.
In the press release, he said, ‘Alhamdulillah. By the infinite mercy of Allah Almighty, Dhaka University students have won the DUCSU elections through the victory of the ‘Unified Student Alliance’ supported by Chhatra Shibir. Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir extends its heartfelt greetings and congratulations to those elected from various panels and independently in this election. May Allah Ta’ala grant the elected representatives the ability to properly protect the trust entrusted to them by the 40,000 students of Dhaka University. Amen.’
On the occasion of this historic victory of the students in the DUCSU elections, Chhatra Shibir has announced a day-long program—
- Implementation of Doa Mahfil and Shabebari (night worship) by expressing gratitude.
- Visiting the graves of martyrs and meeting with the families of martyrs and the injured.
Zahidul Islam said, ‘In light of the central directive, I am calling on all the metropolitan, university, city and district branches of Chhatra Shibir to implement the said program. I also request all of you to refrain from organizing any kind of joy procession, procession or rally. May Allah accept all our activities for His religion. Amen.’ The United Students’ Alliance supported by Chhatra Shibir has achieved an absolute victory in the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections. This alliance has won almost all the posts, including the three top posts of Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS) and Assistant General Secretary. Md. Abu Sadiq (Sadiq Kayem) of Chhatra Shibir has won the post of Vice President, SM Farhad for the post of General Secretary and Mohiuddin Khan for the post of General Secretary with a huge margin of votes.
Today, Wednesday (September 10), election officials announced the results at the Senate Building of Dhaka University. In this election, none of the candidates from other panels, including Chhatra Dal, BAM, and Bagcha, were able to win any important positions. However, independent candidates won three positions.
