Lawmakers fight in Mexican parliament
Two senators got into a scuffle in the Mexican parliament. At one point, other lawmakers also joined in. The incident took place during a plenary session of the parliament on Wednesday (August 27). Tensions reached a peak at that time. The matter has been confirmed by several international media outlets. The released footage shows two senators, Alejandro Alito Moreno Cárdenas and Gerardo Fernández Noronha, pushing each other in the midst of an argument. After the national anthem, when the legislative session ended, Moreno complained that he was not given the opportunity to speak. When he approached Noronha with this complaint, tension spread. Which later turned into a scuffle. Later, other lawmakers also joined in. On the other hand, the incident has caused widespread criticism among the citizens of the country.
