FIFA ban threat, India again

Indian football may get a FIFA ban for the second time in three years. In the meantime, FIFA and the Asian Football Federation (AFC) have jointly given a stern warning to the All India Football Federation (AIFF). Although India has been sending a message to amend the constitution for a long time, it has not heeded the order. This time, a deadline has been set until October 30. Once this deadline passes, FIFA may ban India. FIFA has ordered to amend the constitution and seek permission from the Supreme Court by October 30. Earlier, Indian football was banned by FIFA on August 16, 2022. Because at that time, the Committee of Administrators appointed by the Supreme Court was looking into the activities of the federation, which is tantamount to third-party intervention for FIFA. However, the ban was lifted after 15 days.
