Storm warning in seven districts, signal number 3 at seaports
There is a possibility of a storm over seven districts of the country by the evening. Along with this, there may be thundershowers. On the other hand, warning signal number 3 is in effect at four seaports of the country due to rough seas. This information was revealed in the forecast given by the Meteorological Department on Sunday (August 24). The weather forecast for the country’s inland river ports from 9 am to 6 pm says – there is a possibility of a storm over Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Comilla, Chittagong and Cox’s Bazar. This storm may come from the south or southeast at a speed of 45-60 kmph. Along with this, there is a possibility of rain or thundershowers. In this situation, river ports of seven districts have been asked to show warning signal number one. On the other hand, another forecast says – due to the influence of active monsoon winds, circulating clouds continue to form in the north Bay of Bengal. Due to this, gusty or squally winds may blow over the North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas and sea ports of Bangladesh. The sea ports of Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra have been asked to display local warning signal number three. Fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal have also been asked to move with caution near the coast until further notice.
