Youth Dal leader slaughtered and killed in Khulna
A youth Dal leader was slaughtered and killed by miscreants in the Atharo Mile area of Dumuria upazila of Khulna. The incident took place on Friday (August 22) night. Police have arrested two people in this incident. The deceased Shamim Ahmed (35) is the son of Abdul Gaffar of Uthali village of Tala upazila of Satkhira. He is the joint convener of Islamkati Union Youth Dal. He lived with his mother and wife in the 18 Mile Bazar area for several years. The deceased’s wife, Brishti Akhter, claimed that two youths named Ejaz and Shariful Islam came to the house after evening. They used to come often. We live on the second floor. The two youths along with Shamim were on the third floor. When we went to inquire around 11 pm, we saw this scene of slaughter and killing. The two youths were not there at that time. Ibrahim Hossain, in-charge of Magura Police Camp in Dumuria, said that this is a murder. Based on the information given by his wife, we have taken the two people into custody. The investigation into the matter is ongoing. The investigation will reveal the mystery of the murder. The body was recovered and sent to Khulna Medical College Hospital for autopsy that night.
