Baghas-backed panel announced for DUCSU elections
A Bangladesh Democratic Students’ Union-backed panel has been announced for the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) elections. The party announced a full-fledged panel named ‘Anti-Discrimination Students’ Union’ on Wednesday (August 20). In this, Abdul Quader was announced as VP (Co-President), Abu Baker Majumder as GS (General Secretary) and Ashrefah Khatun as AGS (Associate General Secretary). Earlier, Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal central president Rakibul Islam Rakib announced the panel at a press conference at the foot of Aparajeyo Bangla of Dhaka University at 12 noon. In this, Abidul Islam Khan, joint general secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra Dal and a student of the Islamic Studies Department of the 2015-16 session, was nominated as VP, and Tanvir Bari Hamim, convener of the Poet Jasim Uddin Hall Chhatra Dal and a student of the Women and Gender Studies Department of the 2018-19 session, was nominated as GS. And the name of Tanvir Al Hadi Mayed, convener of Bijoy Ekattor Hall Chhatra Dal and a student of the 2018-19 session of the Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, was announced for the AGS post.
