Nearly 19,000 children killed in Gaza in Israeli attacks

According to the official media office in Gaza, the number of Palestinians killed in attacks by the Israeli military (IDF) in Gaza has exceeded 62,000. At least 18,885 of them were children. On Tuesday (August 19), the UN agency for Palestinian refugees, UNRWA, said that there is no longer a safe place for children in Gaza. The Israeli-imposed blockade has created a severe shortage of food and medical supplies, which is pushing the population to the brink of starvation. Amid the incessant bombing, millions of people have now taken refuge in UN-run schools. But the shelters have also become targets of Israeli attacks, which have turned into death camps for children. Cite information from the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), UNRWA said that an average of more than 540 children have been killed each month during the war in the past five months.
