Putin-Zelensky meeting could happen within two weeks: German Chancellor

Russian President Vladimir Putin has agreed to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky within the next two weeks, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said. He said Putin agreed to this in a phone call with US President Donald Trump. However, the location of the meeting has not yet been determined, Merz told reporters on Monday night (August 18). He also said that such a conference requires proper preparation. However, he is not sure whether Putin will actually “show the courage” to attend such a meeting.
