Passenger bus overturns into pond, 10 injured in Patuakhali

At least 10 people were injured when a passenger bus fell into a pond on the side of the road in Bauphal upazila of Patuakhali. The accident occurred around 1 am on Saturday (August 16). One of the injured has been admitted to the Upazila Health Complex. The other injured have received primary treatment. Passengers have alleged that the same driver is forced to drive the buses twice a day and night in the transports leaving from Galachipa and Dashmina. As a result, accidents often occur on this route. Bauphal Circle Assistant Superintendent of Police Arif Muhammad Shakur said, we have received information about the accident. The administration’s supervision to ensure safety will be further strengthened.
