Election roadmap to be announced next week: EC Secretary

The roadmap for the 13th National Parliament election will be announced next week, said Election Commission (EC) Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed. He told reporters at a briefing on Thursday (August 14). He said that the election roadmap was discussed in the commission meeting. It will be published next week. However, the method of the roadmap or what issues will be included will be announced later. Regarding the voting rights of expatriates, the EC Secretary said that discussions are still underway on the method of expatriate voting. Further discussions are needed on this issue. Everyone will be informed about this later. So far, the commission has received 318 applications for election observation. He also said that the scrutiny of those applications is underway.
