CEC: Law and order situation will improve as elections approach
Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin said that law and order is a big challenge in the upcoming elections in the current situation of the country; this situation will improve as election time approaches. He said this in Rangpur on Saturday (August 9) morning. The Chief Election Commissioner said that when the state government party in a country becomes one; then everything collapses together. People’s trust in the election system has been lost; bringing people to the center is a big challenge. He said that people are being misled on social media through AI; efforts are being made to counter this. He also said, ‘The Election Commission will take action against the presiding officers who created problems in the last election.’ Regarding impartiality, CEC Nasir Uddin said that the Election Commission will not work for or against anyone in the upcoming elections; it will work for 18 crore people. Voting is a civic duty; it is also a religious duty. He said that maximum efforts are being made to conduct the upcoming 13th national election in a transparent and fair manner.
