From there, 58 thousand cusecs of water per second and another 32 thousand to generate electricity, a total of 90 thousand cusecs, are flowing into the Karnaphuli. Due to the strong current, ferry traffic on the Chandraghona-Raikhali river route has been suspended since morning. As a result, passengers and the general public traveling on this road have been facing extreme hardship. Rangamati Road and Township Department Engineer Sabuj Chakma said that due to the strong current in the Karnaphuli river due to the opening of the dam’s sluice gates, ferry traffic on the Chandraghona-Raikhali river route has been suspended.
