Major Sadiq’s wife, Sumaiya Zafarin, has been remanded for 5 days.

A court has sent Major Sadiq’s wife Sumaiya Zafrin on a 5-day remand in an Anti-Terrorism Act case related to the guerrilla training of Awami League leaders and activists. A Dhaka court issued the order on Thursday (August 7). The police applied for Sumaiya Zafrin’s seven-day remand on Thursday afternoon. Later, the court granted a five-day remand after the hearing. Earlier, the DB said that Sumaiya Zafrin was detained from the Mirpur DOHS area on Wednesday. She was later shown arrested in a case related to the Anti-Terrorism Act. It is alleged that his wife Sumaiya Zafrin used to participate with Major Sadiq during the guerrilla training of Awami League leaders and activists. The army had earlier taken Sadiq into custody in this incident. Incidentally, law enforcement agencies have so far arrested 28 people, including leaders and activists of the banned Chhatra League and Awami League, in connection with a secret meeting at a convention center in Dhaka.
