We welcome the Chief Advisor’s announcement
BNP National Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said that the people of Bangladesh have not been able to exercise their voting rights properly in the past 4 elections. After the July Uprising, the people of Bangladesh are waiting with full hope for an election. We hope that the Chief Advisor’s announcement will be implemented quickly, Insha Allah. We applaud this announcement. He said these things as the chief guest in the Bijoy Rally East rally organized by the Comilla Metropolitan, South District and North District BNP on Wednesday (August 6) afternoon to mark the anniversary of the fall of Awami fascism on August 5 and the victory of the students and the people in the continuation of the July Uprising. Regarding the 28 points announced by the Chief Advisor, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain said, ‘Despite the 28-point announcement that he has made, BNP has applauded it in the larger interest despite many objections.’ Calling upon various political parties, he said, ‘I would like to request you who criticize BNP. Come to the political arena, present your programs. We have 31 points and come to the side of the people with what you have. Have faith in the verdict of the people, have confidence. Remember that in the end, the people will give the right verdict. And the people are never defeated by conspiracies.’ Haji Amin-ur Rashid Yasin spoke as a special guest at the event presided over by Comilla South District BNP convener Zakaria Taher Suman. Among others, BNP Central Organizing Secretary (Comilla Division) Principal Selim Bhuiyan and leaders of Metropolitan BNP and South District BNP were present. Later, a huge victory rally in the city circled the important roads of the city.
