Pakistan beat West Indies to win series
Pakistan defeated West Indies by 13 runs in the third T20I to decide the series. Batting at a target of 190 runs, the Caribbeans scored 176 for 6. Pakistan won the series 2-1 with this victory. The two teams faced each other at the Lauderhill Stadium in Florida in the early hours of Monday (August 4), Bangladesh time. Pakistan got off to a great start after winning the toss and opting to bat. Shahibzada Farhan and Sayem Ayub built a 138-run partnership in the opening pair. Farhan returned to 74 runs after being caught by Shai Hope off a ball by Samar Joseph. Ayub fell victim to Holder for 66 runs. Pakistan lost 4 wickets at the end of the stipulated overs and posted 189 runs on the scoreboard. In reply, the West Indies tried to keep the run wheel moving by competing with the ball. However, the hosts kept losing wickets at regular intervals. In the end, the Caribbean innings ended at 176 runs for 6 wickets. The highest score of 60 runs came from the bat of Alik. It is worth noting that the two teams will face each other in the first ODI of the three-match series on Friday (August 8) at 12 midnight Bangladesh time. The match will be held at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.
