India not shying away from buying Russian oil despite Trump’s threats

India will continue importing crude oil from Russia despite US President Donald Trump’s threat. The British news agency Reuters reported this information, citing government sources in the country. Government officials said that the decision to import oil has been made by prioritizing India’s energy security and economic interests. Delhi considers it profitable for the country as Russian oil is relatively cheap. It is worth noting that Trump recently warned that if oil imports from Russia continue, he may reconsider commercial and diplomatic relations with India. However, India’s position is clear – they are taking this decision in their national interest and will not give priority to international pressure in this regard.
