Police recover over 100 stolen mobile phones in Jhenaidah

119 stolen mobile phones have been recovered in Jhenaidah district and returned to their rightful owners. In addition, the Jhenaidah Cyber Crime Investigation Cell has recovered 86,790 taka stolen through mobile banking and mobile phones and returned it to its rightful owners. These money and mobile phones were recovered from different districts of the country. These phones were returned to their rightful owners through a program at the conference room of the District Superintendent of Police on Thursday (July 31) at around 2 pm. According to the District Cyber Crime Investigation Cell, the police provided services to 26 victims of cyber bullying through Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Imo, TikTok, Telegram, Snapchat. At the same time, the Jhenaidah Police Cyber Cell has rescued at least 12 missing people. Superintendent of Police Mohammad Manzur Morshed said that a cyber crime investigation cell has been formed to curb various crimes committed on social media. Jhenaidah Cyber Crime Investigation Cell regularly conducts cyber patrols. In addition, the cyber cell is playing an important role in identifying the truth of sensational criminal activities including unprovoked murders and the criminals.
