Air Force pays tribute to Milestone student Sayan’s grave
The Bangladesh Air Force paid tribute to Sayan Yusuf, a student who died in a plane crash at Milestone School and College. A 13-member Air Force delegation visited Sayan’s house in Bashikpur village, Bashikpur union, Laxmipur Sadar upazila on Tuesday (July 29) afternoon. At that time, they visited the grave of the deceased Sayan and offered special prayers and supplications for the forgiveness of his soul by laying wreaths. Later, Wing Commander of the Bangladesh Air Force’s Zahurul Haque Air Base in Chittagong spoke to the family members of the deceased. The Air Force assured the deceased’s family of all kinds of cooperation. Sayan’s father AFM Yusuf told the media, “Such an accident should not happen to anyone else. Returning to our normal lives is the biggest challenge now.” Sayan’s relatives demanded the construction of a memorial in his memory. Air Force Wing Commander Md. Rezaul Haque said, “We, including the Air Chief, express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives in the plane crash at Milestone College. We are very saddened. A prayer meeting has been organized for the forgiveness of the souls of the deceased and the speedy recovery of the injured. We will also see to improved medical facilities.” He also said, “A support cell has been formed after this accident. An investigation committee has also been formed by the CMH and the burn unit. At the same time, an investigation committee has also been formed by the government.” It is worth noting that a seventh-grade student, Sayan Yusuf, was seriously burned when an Air Force training plane crashed at Milestone School and College in the capital. He died at around 3:30 am the next day while undergoing treatment at the Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute of Dhaka Medical College.
