The government is responsible for the secretariat becoming the center of the movement, A. League is getting the opportunity – Analysts’ opinion

In the last 11 months since the fall of the Awami League government, there have been more than fifty incidents of protests and sit-in programs surrounding the secretariat. From university students, rickshaw drivers to BDR and Ansar members, they have not been left out. Instead of taking administrative decisions, the secretariat has become the main center for demanding demands. During these programs, at least four incidents of attacks and vandalism were reported, when the gate of this very sensitive establishment was broken. The latest was when hundreds of students entered the secretariat demanding the resignation of Education Advisor CR Abrar. Various establishments, including vehicles, were vandalized indiscriminately. Now the question arises why the secretariat has repeatedly become the center of movements and demands? In this regard, former secretary Abdul Awal Majumder said that the government has not yet been able to control the chaotic situation that arose after August 5. As a result, despite repeated such incidents, the message of the government’s strictness did not reach the protesters. Besides, others also took advantage of the lack of strictness at the beginning. Meanwhile, former secretary Abu Alam Shahid Khan said that the interim government is running the country, but they are not able to protect their center point. This is a major weakness of the government. These former secretaries are also blaming the inefficiency of those in charge of ministries, bureaucrats and various organizations and their inability to play a role in their respective fields for such a situation. Abu Alam Shahid Khan said that the entire responsibility for this incident lies with the government’s advisors. They took the wrong step. Why should the HSC exam be postponed at around 3:30 am? Abdul Awal Majumder said that if the decision to postpone the HSC exam was taken late, this would not have happened if the concerned people had made a mistake. But the problem is that no one wants to take responsibility. The ousted Awami League will try to take advantage of such weakness of the interim government and chaotic situation. These two former secretaries asked the government to be vigilant about this. In this context, Abu Alam Shahid Khan said, why would the government allow such a situation to arise where there will be a mob and the fascists will enter. In the past, the government has tried to cover up its own incompetence and failure. This government will also do the same. Former Secretary Abdul Awal Majumder said, the Awami League will try to take advantage. Besides, there may be provocations from the party. We must be careful about this. However, those concerned are not trying to stop the mob. The current situation is not possible for the government to handle. In order to overcome such a situation, these two former secretaries have urged to bring the people into confidence and hold early elections. However, they also expressed their concerns about the elections.
