Nur doubts whether the transfer of power to the interim government will be peaceful or not

Gana Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur has expressed doubts about whether the transfer of power to the interim government will be peaceful. He expressed this doubt at a press conference organized on Thursday (July 24) on the overall situation in the country and the announcement of possible candidates for the Gana Odhikar Parishad. Nur said, “Our dreams have turned into nightmares in the 11 months of the interim government. There are doubts whether the transfer of power to the interim government will be peaceful. We demand that the advisory council be reconstituted and free and fair elections be held.” He alleged, “There is an attempt to rehabilitate fascism in politics. And the government has humiliated and deprived us at every level.” At this time, he also demanded specific instructions to prevent any advisor or responsible person of the interim government from participating in the elections. Nur also demanded that the administration be reorganized ahead of the elections. The President of the People’s Rights Council also called for reconsideration of important decisions such as the establishment of corridors, ports, and the office of the United Nations Human Rights Commission on the country’s issues.
